ESRL Asks: What can employers do to kick-out racism?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This question is posited\nagainst the spread of viruses which according to ESRL racism is one.  Studies on viruses assert that its present in\nevery living organism but one Malcom Gladwell, who authored \u2018The Tipping Point\u2019\nsays external factor causes it to tip and become virulent.  Then all manner of resources are mobilised,\nif negative, to control or eliminate it; if positive propagate it.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Probably the master communicator, President Bill Clinton\u2019s who on 28 June 2000 in an epilogue to a book The Tipping Point\u2019 <\/em>saidto quote: <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018…it\nreaches a kind of tipping point and people kind of get it….\u2019 <\/em>to\nparaphrase \u2018<\/em>if negative do the needful\nif positive embrace it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In light of all the\nabove, ESRL urges employers to view racism as a negative virus which Her\nMajesty\u2019s Government recognised as having reached a tipping point by enacting\nEqualities Act 2010 on protected characteristics.  This urged employers to pull all stops to\neliminate discrimination and discriminatory practices at work place especially\nracism that debilitates the mind; and \u2018people\nhave to get it\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, use of technology\nhas split in two ways, the tacking this process, namely a covert one which is\nbiological and debilitates the body of any living organism; and the overt one\nspread by public media which inhabits the mind of human beings for either\npositive or negative ends.  In overt context,\nESRL suggest that the Meerkat advert best captures the positive element of it.  Meerkat advert can be said to be an external\nfactor that changed the way attention is paid to television adverts and marketing\nof products to a positive end.  No one\nnow remembers the Meerkat\u2019s: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the minds of\ntelevision addicts meerkat\u2019s adverts are now a significant influence in pushing\nand choosing products.  This is a\npositive virus which model ESRL urges employers to embrace because they have\nthe capacity to propagate anti-racism it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In light of the above,\nESRL urges employers to emulate the \u2018meerkat\u2019 Journey of Consciousness\u2019 to\nbuilding a business empire by rating themselves as the most sensitive\nequalities employer.  Her Majesty\u2019s\ngovernment kick-started the campaign to kick out racism by enacting the\nEqualities act 2010 and employers must pull out all stops not only to publicise\nbut use it to build their businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018The mind is a very interesting phenomena that can\ncope with both the positive and negative things such as virulent viruses.  Unfortunately, racism is so virulent and\ndebilitating that all stops have to be pulled out to cleanse the mind of its\neffect.  This can be done by populating\nthe minds with racism cleansing models.  Transparency\nabout racism in a working environment is a good starting point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
