Racism is good for employers as long as those\ndiscriminated against take positions on whether discrimination has taken place\nor not leading to the media and the law courts being used as sports fields to\nhost confrontations on discriminatory practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Equalities Act 2010 urges employers to be sensitive\nto protected characteristics such as race. Employers are however enjoying the spectacle\nthat confrontation offers as it is absolving them from addressing discriminatory\npractices in the work place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ESRL argues that society should hold employers to\naccount for the implementation of the Equality Act 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Alecho, a director of ESRL, says that \u201cESRL reads\nwith horror that in the year AD2014 prejudices and discrimination still take\ncentre-stage as a confrontation sport in all sorts of work environment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further went on to say that \u201cthis cruel and undignifying\nsport has to be ended. Society has\nconsented to the Equality Act 2010 on \u2018protected characteristics\u2019 to end this\nsport. This law is in place to persuade employers\nto be \u2018transparent\u2019 on \u2018protected characteristics\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said finally that \u201cnone of the \u2018protected\ncharacteristics\u2019 is safe from being a subject or subjected to this cruel and undignifying\nsport of being encouraged by \u2018reward and compensation\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
